More action is in the making with Maria Kuhn, who suffered injuries in a head-on crash, and learned soon thereafter that vehicles are crash-tested with test dummies that stimulate the male body, but not the female body. The She Drives Act, S.4299, is in the U.S. Senate now and will require NHTSA to also test with a dummy more in line with female bodies. Maria urges us to help push Senators to pass this legislation that is in the Senate Committee on Commerce Science and Transportation. My own Senator is on the committee and will hear from me. It’s wise for us to educate our Senators. Even if you work in government, you have a right to contact your own legislator. -Kay Brodbeck, President
